I was introduced to the sport of cycling in 2004 after taking up riding to stay in shape for high school basketball season. After putting in more miles, I quickly became hooked. Getting a job at a local bike shop introduced me to the racing scene. After spending next couple years racing in Iowa (my home state) and surrounding areas, the passion grew even more. In 2007, I moved to Fort Collins, CO to attend Colorado State University and to pursue the dreams as a cyclist. I raced collegiate mountain bike, cyclocross, and road for CSU. After some successful racing, I landed a spot on the LipSmacker Professional cycling team in 2009. That year, I was also presented with the opportunity to race in Europe for the developmental squad on the U.S. National team. The European experience fueled my fire even more. I raced for the TIBCO/To the Top team in 2010. I also raced for the U.S. National team at the Giro Donne, Holland Ladies Tour, and World Road Race Championships. 2011 was a break-through year for me, as a picked up my first international wins. I was a member of the World Road Race Championships again in 2011. For 2012, I am riding for Team TIBCO/To the Top. The Spring will be spent racing in Europe. I have been nominated to the long list for the Olympic Games, which take place at the end of July. Enjoy my journey!!
